Dr Elizabeth Dwyer
Osteopath & Director
Osteopathy allows me to do many things that I love – help others, educate, and talk to people.
I have always been a people person and I like to find out what makes others thrive. That’s why osteopathy works for me. I love to ask lots of questions to get the full picture of what is going on so that I can approach any problem holistically.
This allows me to provide an accurate diagnosis, treatment plan and manage expectations of recovery. I love working with patient’s goals; whether it be training and competition, learning to relax, or striving to find a good work-life balance.
I have been practicing osteopathy for over a decade and I love the variety that it brings. I often treat babies who are brought in by their parents, I see people with sporting injuries, those who are overworked with desk-work, and also treat many elderly people – including those into their nineties! I especially love helping women in their journey to becoming a mother and all the changes that happen along the way.
I believe in osteopathy and what it can do for the human body. I have experienced many injuries over the years and don’t know where I would have been without my medical support team (and osteopathy colleagues) to help me through.
I love to keep active with surfboat rowing and weights. I also love the beach and weekends away with friends. I am in a book club and enjoy discussing tricky topics over wine and good food!
I believe that if we are all going to live for many years, we need to be strong and flexible, and we each need to find own perfect balance of this.
