Welcome to Brunswick Osteopathy Clinic
As osteopaths in Australia, we are government regulated allied health professionals who have at least five years of university training.
All of the osteopaths at Brunswick Osteopathy Clinic have extensive knowledge of functional anatomy, biomechanics and neuromusculoskeletal clinical interventions in order to treat patients with a variety of injuries and discomforts. As a defining characteristic, we emphasise the neuromusculoskeletal system as integral to the body’s function, a person’s complete health and to optimise patient care.
Osteopaths operate a little differently to other professions. We really focus on the body as a unit. This means we assess and treat holistically. For example, if you present with knee pain we will consider all structures above and below - your ankle, foot, hip, pelvis and spine. We find that this approach yields better results in both short and long term pain management.
When you visit our clinic, our osteopaths will provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment encompassing biomechanical, orthopedic, functional and neurological examination. This ensures that the full picture of your health is assessed so that an individualised management plan can be devised for you.
As part your management plan, we will utilise a range of strategies including hands-on manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, and advice on posture, movement and lifestyle.
