Dr Cameron Reid
Osteopath
Helping people return to doing what they love without pain or dysfunction, and seeing them thrive towards achieving their goals is the most rewarding aspect of being an osteopath. I love that I have the opportunity to provide the tools, assistance and education for them to manage their own complaints to allow them to regain confidence in their bodies.
Over the course of my education and career, I have been heavily involved with several sporting clubs. Currently I am working with Essendon Football Club and Western United Soccer Club, which has allowed me to gain exposure and experience in treating acute and chronic sporting injuries. Along with a sporting background and a long list of personal injuries, my passion for treating sporting injuries and returning people to the sports that they love grew. Coupled with my previous history as an Accountant, I also noticed and began to gain interest in managing the day-to-day niggles and issues which may arise in desk-based workers.
I employ a structural approach to the management of most musculoskeletal complaints, utilising a mixture of techniques when indicated such as; soft tissue, manipulations, dry needling, articulation and exercise prescription. The combination of techniques allows me to meet many patient preferences whilst still achieving optimal recovery goals.
When Iām not in the clinic you will likely find me at one of the many sporting clubs I am involved with, or trying to keep the body ticking over either at the gym or by stumbling around the Maribyrnong river.
